<br /> North Carolina schools have three sources of funding. In the
<br /> 2017-18 school year, North Carolina public schools spent nearly
<br /> $13.5 billion on instructional expenses,using a combination of 60% K-12 education spending
<br /> state,federal,and local resources.State funding accounted for 52.5% represents the largest
<br /> part of the state budget,
<br /> 65 percent of expenditures,federal funding accounted for 11 50% but its share of the overall
