15

1
Commissioner Marcoplos suggested that the Board ask Durham Tech to change the 2
name of the Orange County campus to the Durham-Orange Tech. 3
Commissioner McKee asked if staff has ever determined exactly whether space existed 4
on the Durham Tech campus, and how large the building could be. 5
Travis Myren said the current site can accommodate the building, but there was a 6
question about how to handle the parking. 7
Commissioner Price referred to the Cedar Grove Community Center, and asked if the 8
repairs to the septic system are being handled now. 9
Travis Myren said the project is scheduled to occur this calendar year, and most likely 10
this fiscal year. 11
Commissioner Price asked if the gym floor will be torn up and replaced after these 12
repairs are done. 13
Travis Myren said yes. He said if there are changes to projects outside of FY2020-21, the Board could do that 40
administratively through the staff. 41
Bonnie Hammersley said there will be a public hearing on the budget on June 4th, and 42
having all capital and operating budget amendments to staff prior to that would be helpful.
