Year-to-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2019-20. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Animal Services <br /> 1. Orange County Animal Services has received $7,458 in donated Community Giving <br /> Funds. Of the total amount, $2,458 will be used to provide shelter and enrichment for <br /> shelter cats, and $5,000 will be used to provide for veterinary services, both are consistent <br /> with the donations purpose. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these <br /> donated funds. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Human Rights and Relations <br /> 2. The Orange County Human Rights and Relations Department has received notification of <br /> an assistance award of $10,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development (HUD). The performance period for this award is from May 1, 2020 through <br /> December 31, 2020. These funds will be used to provide fair housing education and <br /> outreach. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds, and amends <br /> the following grant project ordinance: (See Attachment 1, column #2) <br />
