The new <br /> building will feature bunk rooms, decon laundry, kitchen, dayroom, restrooms, <br /> offices, storage, ambulance bays and other amenities as generally outlined in the <br /> 2014 prototype study. <br /> Along with the new facility,the County has a roughly 4,260 sf existing load <br /> bearing masonry building located on the same site at 3800 Hwy 70, Efland,NC <br /> with the intentions of renovating it to be used as the County Morgue. There are no <br /> planned additions. The current plan is that the building's structural system will be <br /> modified to accommodate new openings in existing walls, new electrical and <br /> HVAC work will be required along with new restrooms and minor interior layout <br /> changes. <br /> At the County's request, we are proposing the following scope of services; <br /> - Standard Architectural, Civil (including stormwater management and <br /> landscaping), Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Design <br /> (including solar design) for existing building to be renovated and proposed <br /> new building <br /> - Telcom and Data system pathway infrastructure and coordination with <br /> county vendors is included; however, design of voice and data cabling and <br /> systems is not. <br /> - Standard Fire Protection Design if desired for the new facility <br /> - Professional cost estimating <br /> - A construction period of a maximum of 12 months is assumed for <br /> construction administration purposes. <br /> architecture James C.Stewart,AIA I Kenneth C.
