13 <br /> 14 <br /> 1 • Homeless Individuals <br /> 2 • Homeless Families, including those families who <br /> 3 may have children in child protective <br /> 4 services <br /> 5 • Person At Risk of Homelessness, including <br /> 6 families who may have children in child <br /> 7 protective services <br /> 8 • Senior/Elderly and Disabled Individuals <br /> 9 • Victims of Domestic Violence <br /> 10 Families and individuals must meet the requirements and <br /> 11 eligibility criteria of one of the above targeted population <br /> 12 groups to qualify for the Local Rent Supplement Program. <br /> 13 HomelessnesslAt Risk Homelessness <br /> 14 For Homelessness and At Risk of Homelessness <br /> 15 applicants, severity of needs is identified and verified <br /> 16 through the use of Homelessness/At Risk Homelessness <br /> 17 Certification Form and submitted source documents. <br /> 18 Senior/Disabled applicants and Victims of Domestic <br /> 19 Violence <br /> 20 For Senior/Disabled applicants and Victims of Domestic <br /> 21 Violence applicants, severity of needs is identified and <br /> 22 verified through the use of the submitted source <br /> 23 documents. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 CRIMINAL BACKGROUND All participants will undergo criminal background and sex <br /> 26 offender checks based on the Housing Choice Voucher <br /> 27 (HCV) regulations. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 DENIAL OF ASSISTANCE An applicant will be denied participation in the Local Rent <br /> 30 Supplement Program if the applicant does not meet Local <br /> 31 Rent Supplement Program specific admission criteria. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Participation will also be denied if the Local Rent <br /> 34 Supplement Program applicant does not provide: <br /> 35 1. Information that the OCHA determines is <br /> 36 necessary in the administration of the program <br /> 37 2. Complete and true information and it is <br /> 38 discovered that the applicant does not meet <br /> 39 eligibility requirements <br /> 40 <br /> 41 BRIEFINGS AND VOUCHER ISSUANCE The applicant, together with all adult <br /> 42 members of the household and the <br /> 43 assigned case manager (if applicable) must <br /> 44 be present for the initial briefing and <br /> 45 voucher issuance. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Upon the completion of the initial briefing, a <br /> 48 Local Voucher/Rent Subsidy voucher will be <br /> 49 issued to the applicant.
