42 <br />Window Air Conditioning System with Steam_ Boiler Radiation Heat <br />Window Air Conditioning systems are Direct Expansion (DX) cooling units that supply conditioned <br />air to each space for cooling. For heating, a steam boiler would supply radiation-type heat <br />exchangers in each space. The number of Window Air Conditioning units required for each space <br />depends on the size and load of the space. The installed cost is low far the cooling, but has a <br />median .life of only 6 years.
