The project is necessary since NCDEQ is unwilling to extend the temporary <br /> permit and haul permit that serves the facility currently. This project will involve investigation of <br /> various options and technologies for long term wastewater disposal from the project site. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> DAA will provide professional services as outlined below. This proposed scope of work has <br /> been prepared in general accordance with the engineering standard of practice and discussions <br /> of the project with the Client and consists of the following services: <br /> Task 1 - Soils Evaluation <br /> DAA will hire a subconsultant soil scientist to evaluate the soils at the project site to <br /> determine if the soils will support a septic system. Both traditional and innovative <br /> systems will be included in the soils evaluation. <br /> Task 2 - Identification of Viable Wastewater Disposal Systems <br /> DAA staff will research and define a list of viable wastewater disposal systems for the <br /> project site. Dependent upon the results of task 1 above, this will include onsite septic <br /> systems in addition to miniature wastewater treatment systems, local pump station to <br /> the nearest regional pump station and other possible innovative technologies.
