DocuSign Envelope ID:90883988-076D-486D-B746-055E86E2D681 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) <br /> CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL TESTING AND SPECIAL INSPECTIONS SERVICES <br /> FOR THE NEW ORANGE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER AND VARIOUS PROJECTS <br /> DATE: AUGUST 15, 2019 <br /> Orange County is soliciting statement of qualifications (SOQs) for Construction Materials Testing and <br /> Special Inspections services needed during construction of the following Orange County facilities: <br /> Northern Detention Center, Northern campus Environment and Agricultural Center, and Parks <br /> Operations Base. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS: <br /> • Orange County Detention Center — New 55,000 SF detention facility to include <br /> administrative offices, common areas, kitchen and booking wing,visitation area and inmate <br /> cells. Construction to consist of: typical shallow foundations, reinforced concrete, load <br /> bearing masonry and structural steel framing. <br /> • Orange County Environmental and Agricultural Center (EAC) — New 17,247 SF <br /> environment and agricultural center, to include administrative offices and multipurpose <br /> program and meeting spaces for County, State and Federal departments serving the <br /> agricultural community. This building is a single-story, steel-framed structure, with brick <br /> veneer cladding,fully sprinklered. <br /> • Orange County Parks Operations Base — New 8,692 SF government services operations <br /> base, to include administrative offices, staff workroom, and equipment and maintenance <br /> storage space for the Parks Division of the Orange County Dept. of the Environment, <br /> Agriculture, Parks, and Recreation. This building is a single-story, pre-engineered metal <br /> structure with metal panel cladding, fully sprinklered. <br /> Moseley Architects is the designer for the Detention Center and HH Architecture is the designer for the <br /> EAC and Parks Ops Buildings. The project delivery for these projects will be single prime Construction <br /> Manager at Risk (CMAR) in accordance with the State of North Carolina.
