The purpose of our services is <br /> to provide construction observation and testing services, as required by code, to assess compliance with <br /> project documents.The following information forms the basis of this proposal and our scope of services: <br /> • Summit's review of the project Detention Center plans and specifications revised 7/10/2019; <br /> • Summit's review of the project EAC and POB plans and specifications revised 7/10/2019; <br /> • Summit's understanding of the required Special Inspections for the project; <br /> • General construction schedule provided by Resolute dated 7/29/2019; <br /> • Summit's past experience on projects of similar size and scope, and <br /> PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> We understand that this project will consist constructing 3 new facilities at the Northern Campus, as <br /> described below. <br /> • Orange County Detention Center — New 55,000 SF detention facility to include administrative <br /> offices, common areas, kitchen and booking wing, visitation area and inmate cells. Construction <br /> to consist of: typical shallow foundations, reinforced concrete, load bearing masonry and <br /> structural steel framing. <br /> • Orange County Environmental and Agricultural Center (EAC) — New 17,247 SF environment and <br /> agricultural center, to include administrative offices and multipurpose program and meeting <br /> spaces for County, State and Federal departments serving the agricultural community. This <br /> building is a single-story, steel-framed structure, with brick veneer cladding, fully sprinklered. <br /> • Orange County Parks Operations Base — New 8,692 SF government services operations base, to <br /> include administrative offices, staff workroom, and equipment and maintenance storage space <br /> for the Parks Division of the Orange County Dept. of the Environment, Agriculture, Parks, and <br /> Recreation. This building is a single-story, pre-engineered metal structure with metal panel <br /> cladding,fully sprinklered. <br />
