(See <br /> Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence <br /> Sheriff's Office <br /> 2. The Orange County Sheriff's Office has received private designated donations totaling <br /> $29,000 for the purchase of AED Defibrillators to be used in deputy patrol vehicles. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these donations for the above mentioned <br /> purpose. (See Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence <br /> Animal Services <br /> 3. Orange County Animal Services has received $5,789 in Community Giving donations for <br /> use toward emergency medical care for rescued animals. This budget amendment <br /> provides for the receipt of these donations and authorizes the department to spend these <br /> donations consistent with the donors' intent. (See Attachment 1, column 3) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There are no Orange County Social Justice Goals <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Capital Projects <br /> 4. The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) Board of Education has requested the <br /> repurposing of available funds of $641,937 from older school capital projects that have <br /> ended to fund critical priority capital needs for two (2) projects within the district (See <br /> Attachment 3). This budget amendment provides for the repurposing of available funds, <br /> closes out prior year funding in those projects, and amends the School Capital Project <br /> Ordinances for each of the projects as listed in Attachment 3. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There are no Orange County Social Justice Goals <br /> associated with this item. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these Budget Amendment items. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2019-20 and <br />
