b. Can be perceived by all employees. <br /> C. Alarm is distinctive and recognizable. <br /> d. Employees have been trained on the alarm system. <br /> e. Emergency phone numbers are posted. <br /> f. Emergency alarms have priority over all other communications. <br /> g. Alarm system is properly maintained. <br /> III. Sounding the Alarm:The signal for immediate evacuation of the facility will be the fire alarm. The <br /> alternate means of notification will be verbal communication or OC Alert. <br /> IV. Evacuation Plans: Emergency evacuation escape route plans (see Appendix A) are posted in key <br /> areas of the facility. All employees shall be trained on primary and secondary evacuation routes. <br /> V. Employee Accountability: In the event of an evacuation, all occupants shall promptly exit the <br /> building via the nearest exit. Go to your designated assembly point and report to your supervisor. <br /> Each supervisor (or designee) will account for each assigned employee via a head count. All <br /> supervisors shall report their head count to the Transportation Administrator (TeLeishia Holloway) <br /> who will be located at the old motor pool location and accessible via cell phone#919-259-6977. <br /> VI. Building Re-Entry: Once evacuated, no one shall re-enter the building. Once the Fire Department or <br /> other responsible agency has notified us that the building is safe to re-enter, then personnel shall <br /> return to their work areas. <br /> VII. Hazardous Weather: A hazardous weather alert consists of an OCAlert or a County website <br /> report. When a hazardous weather alert is made, all employees shall immediately report to the <br /> closest tornado refuge area. Stay in this area until given the all-clear sign which is an all-clear <br /> message over the radio. <br /> Orange County Emergency Services monitors weather conditions daily, and reports hazardous <br /> weather conditions to the County Manager's Office. All Orange County employees can sign up for <br /> notifications from the Orange County Alerts Employee Notification System (OCAlerts) or call (919) <br /> 732-8181 for the current weather status. <br /> Vill. Training: The personnel listed below have been trained to assist in the safe and orderly emergency <br /> evacuation of employees.
