• Ensuring fire annunciation and evacuation procedures are part of the standard <br /> procedures and training for operators <br /> Emergency Medical Services <br /> OCPT works with the local emergency medical services including hospitals on a regular basis to <br /> support improved medical response. Preparations include the following activities: <br /> Maintaining regular communication with EMS <br /> • Scheduling a meeting on transit property or at the offices of EMS at least annually to <br /> ensure transit issues are understood by the organization <br /> Establishing appropriate EMS unit jurisdictions <br /> • Establishing the level of service (equipment, personnel, etc.) to be delivered in <br /> response to various types and degrees of emergencies <br /> • Establishing appropriate methods of communication for continuous coordination <br /> during a response <br /> • Familiarizing EMS personnel with transit vehicles and facilities <br /> • Conducting periodic drills in conjunction with EMS personnel <br /> Completed public Transportation Emergency Response Mutual Aid <br /> Agreement between OCPT and First Responders are found in the <br /> section of this document entitled SECURITY PLAN SUPPORTING <br /> DOCUMENTS at SECT101V 7.11. <br /> Training of First Responders on Transit Equipment <br /> OCPT holds annual training with local first responders to improve familiarity with transit fleet, <br /> facilities and operations.
