She said thus far, Orange County's surge days have not corresponded <br /> 2 with other counties, which is fortunate. <br /> 3 Hillsborough Commissioner Hughes said Alamance and Durham counties are most <br /> 4 frequently mentioned, and asked if this is Orange County helping its neighbors, or neighbors <br /> 5 coming to help Orange County. <br /> 6 Kim Woodard said it is neighbors coming to help Orange County in call response. She <br /> 7 said South Orange is utilized frequently, and she is proud of this relationship. <br /> 8 Hillsborough Commissioner Hughes asked if there are typical situations that require <br /> 9 extra help. <br /> 10 Kim Woodard said the telecommunicators prioritize the responses, and send the closest <br /> 11 ambulances to the highest acuity call, with longest distance traveling ambulances going to non- <br /> 12 emergency calls. <br /> 13 Mayor Hemminger said Chapel Hill also has a new Fire Chief called Vencelin Harris, <br /> 14 who will be sworn in next week. <br /> 15 Mayor Lavelle said noted the following information items: <br /> 16 <br /> 17 4.
