Jointly pursue an Environmental Assessment of the entire 164 acres to consider <br /> 15 designating the most environmentally sensitive area as the Headwaters Preserve. The <br /> 16 cost of this analysis will be shared among the parties, 43% Orange County, 43% Town <br /> 17 of Chapel Hill, 14% Carrboro. <br /> 18 Total Cost Estimated - $40,000 <br /> 19 2. Jointly pursue a Memorandum of Understanding for future decision-making <br /> 20 processes. This document will be used to ensure the parties participate in good faith in <br /> 21 the planning process for potential development of the Greene Tract. The document will <br /> 22 describe community outreach efforts. <br /> 23 2020 Greene Tract Resolution and Environmental Assessment Interlocal Agreement <br /> 24 3. Jointly agrees to have a joint public information session that includes Orange <br /> 25 County, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro a minimum of 2 months after the Environmental <br /> 26 Assessment has been completed by the consultant and received by the jurisdictions. <br /> 27 4. Jointly agrees to not initiate formal further public engagement until completion of the <br /> 28 Memorandum of Understanding document. <br /> 29 5.
