CTC Proposal to Orange County – Public Works to Animal Services <br />Page 25 <br /> <br />James Jordan | Principal OSP Engineer <br /> <br />Jim Jordan has over 35 years of telecommunications industry experience in outside plant design, <br />planning, permitting, construction, and quality assurance. He supports a number of regional and <br />statewide network initiatives, including the 800-mile Maryland Inter-County Broadband <br />Network; the ConnectArlington network in Arlington County, Virginia; and the NCRnet network <br />interconnecting the governmental networks in the National Capital Region. <br /> <br />Previous to joining CTC, Jim served as an outside plant engineer, cable splicer, and various other <br />positions in the telecommunications industry at Verizon Communications. He was also <br />instrumental in the FiOS fiber-to-the-premises deployment across Maryland and fiber-to-the-cell <br />wireless roll-outs throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. As a splicer, Jim used the latest <br />splicing and testing methods for copper and fiber. He is a CWA Life Member as a Verizon retiree. <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE <br />CTC Technology & Energy 2013 to present <br />Principal OSP Engineer <br />x Developed design standards for municipal middle-mile and last mile deployment <br />o Typical standards for building penetrations <br />o Redesigns of outdated typicals <br />x Led field design work and assessment of existing outside plant infrastructure, including: <br />o Highland Park, IL: High-level overview of existing pole structure for make ready <br />and obvious problems in an FTTP build the County is looking to pursue. <br />o Ellensburg, WA: High Level Overview of existing pole structure for make ready and <br />obvious problems in an FTTP build the County is looking to build. <br />o Westminster, CO: Developing a fiber ring configuration for the rebuilding of the <br />County with minimum HUB location and maximum fiber deployment. <br />o Atlanta, GA: Evaluation of current County fiber resources, hub locations, conduit, <br />handhole and poles and overall existing resources. <br />o Vallejo, CA: Evaluation of existing conduit and handhole resources within the County and <br />on Mare Island. <br />o Pikeville, KY: Evaluation of existing resources, mostly pole lines due to the rock in the area. <br />o New York County and Long Island, NY: CATV overview looking for fiber nodes and <br />disparity between economically disadvantaged neighborhoods and economically <br />affluent neighborhoods. <br />o Holly Springs, NC: Re-engineered final aspects of design work and initial phase of <br />QC/QA. <br />o Albuquerque NM: Preliminary fiber design for Route 66 re-development area. <br />o Northwest NM: Survey of schools in underserved broadband or non-existent <br />broadband regions to equip with fiber in the future. <br />o Northern Harford County, MD: Pole survey for FTTP Project for ease of build, pole <br />make ready and pole replacement projections. <br />o Northern Montgomery County, MD: Pole survey for FTTP Project for ease of build, <br />pole make ready and pole replacement projections. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: FDEE3CE5-2218-4290-8CC7-E06D1211E72A
