ReIyMD is staffed by Wake Emergency Physicians, PA (WEPPA). WEPPA is an independent private practice of 165 emergency medicine and telemedicine specialists that have been practicing and growing in the Raleigh-area for 26 years.WEPPA staffs 11 different emergency departments across the Triangle in 4 different health care systems (WakeMed Health & Hospitals, Johnston UNC Healthcare, Nash UNC Healthcare and Granville Health). WEPPA has approximately 460,000 annual patient visits in these emergency departments. ReIyMD now sees over 4,000 patients annually on its telemedicine platform. With an average wait time to be seen of 6.4 minutes, ReIyMD telemedicine medical providers evaluate patients via computer or mobile app 24/7/365. Providers have the ability to call in prescriptions to patients' preferred pharmacies electronically. Patient satisfaction rates are 98%. Patients state that they would use ReIyMD again 98% of the time. In summary, ReIyMD is based on a simple premise—to simplify health care by using innovative technology to solve local health care problems across the state of NC. Proposed ReIyMD Services ReIyMD will work with the Orange County Department of Emergency Services to provide the following: •Deploy telemedicine services in the general population shelters(or wherever telemedicine services are needed)during NC disasters •Paramedic and nurse teams at the shelters will have access to ReIyMD telemedicine services as a resource 24/7/365 •ReIyMD will prioritize disaster consults so that shelter patient wait times are kept to a minimum •ReIyMD will arrange for staffing and additional backup staffing based on shelter population census projections and needs •ReIyMD providers will triage,evaluate,and manage patients with the help of the paramedics and nurses who are at the bedside of the patient.The providers will triage,evaluate,and manage: 1.Urgent/emergent conditions that warrant transport to a local emergency department. 2.Nonlife-threatening conditions by developing a treatment plan in place at the shelter(e.g.mild asthma flare treated with nebulizers and prednisone)or a care coordination plan(e.g.arrange dialysis for a patient). 3.Stable conditions but recognize patients with the potential for decompensation and should be transferred to a state medical shelter,rather than remaining in a general population shelter. •ReIyMD will include remote/virtual training during county shelter training sessions.ReIyMD providers will consult virtually through a demonstration of the ReIyMD teleservices. Additional training will be available via online PDF or guided tutorials. Proposed Orange County Management Requirements •Provide iPads and broadband necessary to perform telemedicine consults in each general population shelter •Provide the paramedic or nurse teams at the shelter to facilitate the telemedicine consult Proposed Pricing •$4,000/annual fee •Service begins 9/1/2019 and runs through 8/30/2020
