The Citizens Police Academy is also still offered by <br /> Hillsborough Police . Transitional School will be removed since no one could identify any other <br /> schools than the ones already listed on the document. Under Clinical Treatment category, will <br /> add "Intensive Wrap Around" and "High Fidelity Wraparound" programs that are both being <br /> offered by Youth Villages , <br /> Action Plan Review/Update — No longer required as part of the Annual Plan and will not need to <br /> complete . <br /> Announcements <br /> After much planning, Orange County has created a Misdemeanor Diversion Court that will go <br /> into effect on June 1 for 16 and 17 year olds . The court will start accepting referrals April 15 <br /> and the first practice court session is May 4 . It is modeled after the one in Durham. Wake <br /> County is also working on creating one modeled after Durham' s . <br /> The 2nd Annual Youth Art Exhibition at the Carrboro Arts Center that is starting April 3 and goes <br /> through most of April, with the main reception on April 8 . <br /> Consultant Update M <br /> CAY is holding regional meetings and the one for the Central Area is April 13 from 10-2 . <br /> Even though the State budget has yet to pass, they are no expecting any decrease in funds . There <br /> is talk about expansion funding for Teen Court. If approved, the funds would come to the JCPC <br /> and added to the county allocation for decisions to be made at the local level . <br /> Sentencing Commission has recently put out a report that JCPC programs were serving the <br /> majority of lower risk youth. The Department knows that that isn' t true and came to the <br /> conclusion that the Risk Assessment Tool needed to be re-normed.
