Jane Doe Matter <br /> As you know, in 2000 the County received a favorable verdict in the Jane Doe rape case at the <br /> Courthouse . However, the Plaintiff attorney appealed the matter and ultimately filed a Petition for <br /> Discretionary Review by the North Carolina Supreme Court . I am pleased to report that the <br /> Supreme Court declined the Plaintiff Attorney' s request for this review this week. The matter is <br /> thereforeclosed , <br /> r= t <br /> 2 .
