I first <br /> became an orange county resident in 2008, and have recently moved back with my family <br /> from Wake County. We consider Chapel Hill home. <br /> Past Service on Orange County Advisory Boards: <br /> None in Orange County <br /> Boards/Commissions applied for: <br /> Orange Unified Transportation Board <br /> Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br /> My years as a evidence and competitive cyclist have taken me through these counties roads big <br /> and small. I am still active in the cycling community though at a lesser level. I am tuned in to the <br /> needs of cyclists and feel I can represent this very important and too often at risk group. <br /> As well I Have traveled all around the triangle as he observant motorist and Very recently lived <br /> in North Raleigh where there is a lot of development. I feel that I can bring good perspective to a <br /> seat on the committee. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I have found myself with the time that now allows me to put some energy back towards the <br /> community. I enjoyed spending time on the Chatham transportation advisory committee, and I <br /> anticipate that I would enjoy doing so for Orange County just as much or more. <br /> Conflict of Interest: <br /> I am not sure how much of a conflict of interests this might presented self as, but I will be soon <br /> closing on a small towing operation out of Cary, North Carolina. Currently no business is <br /> transacted in Orange County. It is entirely possible that in the years forthcoming I might expand <br /> operations to include parts of Orange County.
