Draft <br /> 3/24/99 <br /> 0 ON <br /> With the knowledge of what facilities , needs and standards exist <br /> at this time (see Section 11 and appendices ) , the Work Group has <br /> discussed the direction of future efforts . In particular , there are <br /> two key areas to which attention should be drawn . <br /> First , a working set of goals and objectives must be developed that <br /> meet the diverse recreation and parks needs of the County . To <br /> implement these goals , criteria have been developed for the <br /> expenditure of future resources for land acquisition and facility <br /> siting . Subsection A below addresses these needs . <br /> Second , the potential for joint siting and management of sites is <br /> seen as a logical extension of the information gathered to date . <br /> An evaluation of possibilities in this area is also warranted , and <br /> is included as subsection B . Two issues that are directly relevant are <br /> discussed in subsections c and d - UNC expansion and Impediments to <br /> Location of new facilities . Finally , subsection a addresses possible <br /> mechanisms for implementing these goals and objectives . <br /> A .
