Since then <br /> the members of the Board have assessed existing property and <br /> facilities owned by the Town and have assigned some priorities for <br /> implementation of the Master Plan . Several projects are ongoing . <br /> Funding has been allocated and / or is being requested for these <br /> projects . Some funding has been allocated for construction . <br /> The most immediate recreation needs , based on the original survey <br /> and subsequent requests by townspeople , include ( not necessarily in <br /> order of need ) : <br /> a ) Playing fields for organized sports <br /> b ) Basketball courts <br /> c ) Safe places to walk and bicycle <br /> d ) Playgrounds within safe walking distance of residences <br /> e ) Neighborhood parks <br /> f) Skateboard facilities <br /> C .
