GROUND RULES <br /> I= 40/OLD N . C . 86 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT WORK GROUP <br /> For the Work Group to be as effective as possible, the following groundrules are suggested: <br /> 1 . Share all relevant information. <br /> 2 . Focus on interests, not positions . <br /> 3 . Stay focused: discuss a topic long enough for everyone to be clear about it . <br /> 4 . Disagree openly with any member of the group . <br /> 5 . Discuss undiscussable issues . <br /> 6 . Test assumptions and inferences . <br /> 7 . Agree on what important words mean . <br /> 8 . Make decisions by concensus ; e . g. , everyone in the group freely agrees with the decision (or <br /> solution) and will support it . <br />
