Kinney, Recreation and *ar * <br /> tor <br /> SUBJECT : First Meeting <br /> DATE: May 23 , 1995 <br /> Welcome to the newly created Recreation and Parks Work Group . The first attachment to <br /> this memorandum contains a listing of all members of the Work Group, staff support <br /> personnel, and other interested persons representing the various jurisdictions involved. All <br /> written communication will be mailed to everyone on this list in the attempt to keep interested <br /> . Parties informed of your on-going work in a timely manner. If you wish to change <br /> information on this list or add anyone, please contact me and I will do so and send out an <br /> updated listing. The determination of the time, date and location for your initial meeting will <br /> be difficult since everyone is extremely busy. At this first meeting you will need to appoint a <br /> Chair and to develop a meeting schedule for the remainder of this calendar year. <br /> I have enclosed the "Proposed Process for Discussing .County-Wide Recreation and Parks <br /> Services " and a resolution adopted by the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. It is hoped that this <br /> information will be helpful to review again. A last attachment includes calendar sheets for <br /> June and July and a self-addressed envelope . <br /> Please return the calendar sheets after including your name, preference for a meeting time, <br /> and mark out on the calendars any dates or times that you cannot meet during the months of <br /> June and July. We will attempt to set your initial meeting on the most advantageous date for <br /> the group in general . We will then send out an agenda announcing the date, proposed <br /> discussion items, and meeting location. <br /> Please return these sheets to me by June 1 , 1995 . I look forward to working with each of you <br /> and anticipate that the Recreation and Parks Work Group will develop proposals on exciting <br /> improvements for recreation and park services for all of Orange County.
