V. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> • Set standards based on ranking with other Triangle Area Counties . Determine parks <br /> facilities and classifications to be surveyed . Develop mechanism for annual review <br /> of park and facility standards by all jurisdictions . <br /> • Endorse the concept of a School/Park Plan and suggest that an agreement between <br /> the appropriate School Systems and the Municipal and County Recreation and Parks <br /> Departments be formulated . <br /> • Standardize all documents used by the three jurisdictions when contracting with <br /> private recreation providers . (Personnel, Facilities , Program Management) <br /> • Seek to publish and update annually the listing of private recreation vendors and <br /> facilities on the new information referral network currently being developed in <br /> Orange County . Also , include models of existing, successful public/private <br /> partnerships , i . e . Triangle Sportsplex, Chapel Hill Senior Center, etc . <br /> • Establish a bi-annual meeting or forum for private and public recreation providers for <br /> information sharing and establishing new public/private initiatives . <br /> Page 9 <br />
