~85D <br />4 <br />ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br />306F REVERE ROAD <br />HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA 27278 <br />yr <br />4 !1 <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />A SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION <br />FOR ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Pursuant to the requirements of the General Statutes of North Carolina, Chapter 153A, 240, <br />323, and 343; Article 20, Sections 20.5 and 20.6, of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance; and <br />Section VIII of the Orange County Subdivision Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Orange <br />County Board of County Commissioners and the Orange County Planning Board will hold a joint <br />public hearing at :30 PM on Ma 29 2001 at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom at 106 East Margaret <br />Lane, Hillsborough, NC 27278 for the purpose of giving all interested citizens an opportunity to <br />speak far or against the following Special Use Permit application: <br />SUP-I-OX Olive Branch Inn (Bed & Breakfast) <br />The applicant is requesting a Class A Special Use Permit under Article 8..8.24 of the Orange <br />County Zoning Ordinance, Historic Sites - Nori-Residential Reuse/Mixed Use, to permit the <br />use of the existing house at 7015 NC Highway 57 as a three (3) g~restroom bed and' breakfast <br />establishment. No changes to the house are proposed as~part ofthis application. <br />The property is zoned Rural Residential (R-1) and is .located in the Little River ~ Protected <br />Watershed (LITTLE-PW). It contains 47.17 acres, specifically described as Little River <br />Township, Orange County Tax Map 15, Lot 8. Bed and breakfast establishments are <br />permitted in this district upon the approval of a Class A Special Use Permit by the Board of <br />' County Commissioners, <br />All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearictg and be heard. Public comment will be <br />received during the public hearing. Following the close of the public hearing, only evidence received <br />in writing by the date of the Planning Board meeting following the public hearing will be considered <br />by the Board of Commissioners for decision. <br />Changes may be made ~ in the advertised proposals, which reflect debate, objections and <br />discussion at the hearing. <br />This notice is being sent to you because your property is within 500 feet of the property <br />affected. A public notice will be posted on the premises at least ten (10) days before the hearing, and <br />a legal -advertisement will appear in the Durham Herald and the News of Qrange for two successive <br />weeks with the first notice appearing not less than ten (10) days nor more than twenty-five (25) days <br />prior to the public hearing. <br />Questions regarding the proposal may be directed to the Orange County Planning and <br />Inspections Department located in the -Planning and ~ Agricultural .Center, 306F Revere Road, <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina.
