Without <br />additional information, the current title of Rehabilitation Specialist may result in a job applicant <br />possibly thinking this is a healthcare professional who helps people recover from an illness or <br />injury, <br />Personnel has reviewed the request and it is evident that there are various types of <br />Rehabilitation Specialists such as Healthcare Rehabilitation Specialists, Vocational <br />Rehabilitation Specialists, Driver Rehabilitation Specialists, Fire Rehabilitation Specialists, and <br />Workers' Compensation Rehabilitation Specialists, among others. Personnel recommends that <br />the class title of Rehabilitation Specialist at Salary Grade 16 be changed to Housing <br />Rehabilitation Specialist, still at Salary Grade 16. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend the Classification <br />and Pay Plan by changing the title of the existing class of Rehabilitation Specialist at Salary <br />Grade 16 to Housing Rehabilitation Specialist, still at Salary Grade 16. <br />
