Ms.
Davis spoke about her sense of advocacy for the elderly and other elements of her
background. After she left the meeting, current committee members agreed she is an
excellent candidate for our committee and asked that her application be forwarded to
our County Commissioners for final approval.
o Vibeke continued to emphasize the importance of recruiting possible new members
due to continued vacancies. We currently have 4 vacancies.

• 2020 Meeting Schedule.
o Following lengthy discussion from all members present, written ballots were
compiled with the decision to begin quarterly committee meetings starting in the New
Year. The decision was based on several factors including coordination with the
Adult Care Home group which meets prior to our sessions.
o We will continue to meet the 1st Tuesday of the designated months at 5:30pm here at
the Seymour Center. Members acknowledged meetings could likely be longer (90
minutes) with prompt site visit reports still required.
o The 2020 meeting dates are: February 4; May 5; August 4; November 3. Members
agreed this to be a trial year and will be reviewed at the November 2020 meeting.

• Site Visit Reports:
o Brookshire: Accepted as submitted; of particular note is the ongoing Activities
Calendar for all residents. Follow up topics will include transition to new
management, water pitchers in rooms and meal satisfaction with possible changes
under new management.
o Pruitt Carolina Point: At the edit interview with the NHA we were informed that
the newly appointed DON lasted only a week and they are again entering the
interview process; a new Social Worker has been hired. Repeated concerns re: food
choices and fresh water at the bedside. Other areas of concern noted will have
follow-up reviews at the next visit.
o Parkview: Accepted as written
