The schedule will address topics such as appropriate <br /> i rri gati on of pl ants duri ng the earl y establ i shment phase, drought conditi ons, <br /> excessive rainfall, mulch replacement, supplemental seeding, supplemental <br /> soi I s tests, application of nutrients and amendments, control of competitive <br /> and i nvasi ve sped es, di sease and i nsect control, and correcti ve mad ntenance, <br /> measures to address fai I ure of vegetati on to become establ i shed. Contractual <br /> respond bi I i ty f or mad ntenance after i ni ti al establ i shment of vegetati ve cover <br /> wi I I be provi ded on the pl ans, i n the constructi on sequence and on the bi d I i st <br /> for the project. Maintenance bonds and/or warranty guarantee may be required <br /> of the respond bl e party,especi al I y for areas i n or adj acent to envi ronmental I y <br /> sensitive sites such as wetlands, riparian buffers, floodplains, and waters of <br /> the State. See Example 6.11a for a sample maintenance specification and a <br /> mi ni mum mai ntenance check I i st that shad I be provi ded on a1 I pl ans. <br /> RECOMMENDED BID LIST <br /> (These items should be itemized on documents utilized to obtain pricing for <br /> pl anti ng pertai ni ng to vegetati ve stabi I i zati on of I and di sturbi ng proj ects i n <br /> North Carol i na. <br /> • Soil test prior to grading(price per each test). <br /> • Soil test during grading operations(price per each test). <br /> • Soil test at completion of grading and/or prior to seeding, sprigging, <br /> sodding and application of f erti I i zer, I i me, and other soil amendments <br /> (price per each test). <br /> • Ripping/subsoiling to a depth of six(6)inches. (Provide an alternate for <br /> ripping to a depth greater than six(6)inches.)
