Organizational effectiveness and coherence <br /> a. Achieving desirable medical outcomes while managing length of stay <br /> I. Are there specific changes that can occur to increase the ability to handle challenging <br /> cases while maintaining or even decreasing length-of-stay? <br /> ii. What types of cases may be better referred externally? <br /> iil. What should the focus of the contract veterinarians be on a daily basis?What is the <br /> design of daily rounds,medical rounds,medical treatments and could they be <br /> improved to Increase efficiency? ` <br /> b. Balancing rehabilitative care with sheltering capacity land work load) <br /> i. What is the current workload and how does it compare to intended future projects <br /> and expectations of potential growth in other programs <br /> if. How do other programs impact the veterinary medical services program(example, <br /> Foster programs,community cat programs,animal cruelty investigative teams,etc.)? <br /> c. Range of veterinary healthcare responsibilities <br /> 1. Determination of including animal flow under medical purview <br /> 1. Pathway planning roles <br /> 2. Specific metrics <br /> ii. Whether or not include euthanasia as an area of responsibility <br /> 2. These areas will be reviewed in conversation with the Animal Services Director.Dr.Robertson will <br /> remain available to answer any questions or clarify any points related to her recommendations,at any <br /> point in the future,at no additional charge. <br /> 6 <br />
