Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness —2019 Data Update <br /> 8 The Board reviewed updated data about homelessness in Orange County submitted to <br /> 9 the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) earlier this year. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 BACKGROUND: The Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness (OCPEH) was created <br /> 12 in 2008 to coordinate funding and activities to end homelessness in Orange County. OCPEH is <br /> 13 jointly funded by Orange County (39%) and the Towns of Carrboro (15%), Chapel Hill (41%), <br /> 14 and Hillsborough (5%). <br /> 15 <br /> 16 OCPEH Coordinator Corey Root will present the updated data and discuss how current data <br /> 17 relate to identified gaps in the homeless service system, including rapid re-housing and street <br /> 18 outreach programs. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Corey Root said she usually makes this presentation earlier in the year, but she has <br /> 21 been out on maternity leave.
