2 <br /> The Food Council operates within a systems change and racial equity framework where <br /> social justice is centered. The efforts of the Food Council most clearly align with the Social <br /> Justice Goal to Foster a Community Culture that Rejects Oppression and Inequity. The <br /> Food Council's makeup reflects the purpose of this goal and all of the Food Council's efforts <br /> are centered on recognizing systemic inequities and developing strategies to foster a more <br /> community-driven, equitable and sustainable local food system. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility <br /> Goal impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board receive the report and <br /> provide any comments or questions as appropriate. <br />
