6 <br />Memorandum <br />To: B4CC Members <br />subject: Board of Health Appointments <br />From: Moses Carey, Jr. <br />Date: December 13, 2000 <br />The attached letter was received while I was Chair. Therefore, I wanted to <br />follow-up by making the following request of you when we next consider <br />the appointments for the listed Board of Health members. As indicated in <br />;the attached letter, the board of health has a considerable number of new <br />members. Dr. Kline (sp) has requested that those listed be allowed to <br />continue to serve for another term as an exception to our county policy of a <br />maximum two terms in order to provide some continuity of leadership and <br />allow the new members sufficient time to become familiar with board <br />operations. I support his request and ask that you consider doing so as an <br />exception to our policy for the reasons noted. The board of health has an <br />important role and. experienced leadership can help improve the overall <br />performance of the agency. <br />'~~ <br />
