• C. Special Use Permit. Class A <br />Purpose: Elizabeth P. Davidson is requesting a Historic Sites Non-Residential-Mixed <br />Use, Special Use Permit, Class A for a Bed and Breakfast. The property located at 7015 <br />NC 57 and is identified by Orange County Tax Records as Little River Township, Map 15, <br />Lot $. The acreage is 47.17 acres more or less including NC 57 right-of--way. <br />• D. Oran a Count Subdivision Amendments <br />• 1. Clarifies the Definition of Resultant Lots in the Subdivision Definition <br />• Adds language to require all recombination Tots to also adhere to the minimum lot <br />standards set forth in the Private Road Standards. <br />• 2. Modify the Private Road Standards <br />• Allow for sliding scale of lot sizes in exchange for greater ratios of open space and <br />reducing impervious surface <br />• 3, Clarify minor subdivision approval time limits <br />• The time limit provisions of minor subdivision approval will be set to the same time <br />period as major subdivisions. The requirement will be to record the final plat <br />within one year of approval or request an approval extension for a maximum of <br />one additional year (two years total). <br />• 4. Amend cluster provisions in all development proposals <br />• Sets minimum `cluster dawn' lot sizes at a sustainable level <br />• E. ,Amendments to an Ordinance Prohibitin the Kee in of Animals Dan Brous <br />to Persons and Property Withiin Orange Countx <br />r ose: Strikes all language pertaining to permitting and physical enclosures. Clarifies <br />that the keeping of wild animals dangerous to ,persons and property within Orange County <br />is not allowed. The only exemption allowed is for animals used for teaching and/or <br />research purposes at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The ordinance, if <br />adopted, will become effective upon approval unless otherwise specified by the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners.' <br />• F. Ordinance Prohibitin the Dis la of Wild and Exotic Animals Within Oran e <br />Countv <br />Purpose: This purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit the display of wild and exotic <br />animals within Orange County specifically for the purposes of entertainment or <br />amusement. It does not prohibit the exhibition of animals for educational purposes by <br />non-profit groups, institutions or individuals. It does not prohibit the ownership of exotic <br />animals. The ordinance, if adopted, will become effective upon approval unless otherwise <br />specified by the Orange County Board of Commissioners. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this decision. Advertisement <br />casts are included in the departmental budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Administration recommends APPROVAL of the items for the May <br />29, 2001 Quarterly Public Hearing. <br />
