BACKGROUND: The next regular quarterly public hearing is scheduled for May 29, 2001. A summary of each item proposed for public hearing is provided. The text of specific proposals will be sent to the BOCC approximately May 15, 2001; staff will be available to research and answer questions prior to the public hearing. Requests• • A. Com rehensive Plan Text Amendments • In order to reserve potential school sites during the subdivision process the sites must be identified in the Comprehensive Plan. • The identified sites will be presented at the Public Hearing. • B. Orange County Zoning Text Amendments • 1. Amendments to both the Payment in Lieu of Dedication Fees and in the calculation of Land Dedication amounts • 2. Establish a `Bed and Breakfast/Country Inn' use in the Permitted Use Table • The current ordinance only allows for historical structures to be considered for Bed and Breakfasts. There are other structures and situations that may be suitable to accommodate the Bed and Breakfast/Country Inn uses. • 3 Amend all references to Best Management Practices (BMP) in the Zoning Ordinance to be consistent with the Orange County Stormwater Program for Lands within the Neuse River Basin.
