• She handed out the list of legislative priorities from the Senior Tar Heel Legislature <br />and distributed an article on person-centered care entitled "The Eden Alternative <br />Domains of Well-Being." <br /> <br />Report from the Department on Aging – Mary Fraser <br />• The OCDOA Long-term Care Learning Collaborative is focusing on the <br />implementation of the music and memory program (Music in My Mind-Orange <br />County) this year. All nursing homes, assisted living and family care homes were <br />invited to participate in this year’s Long-term Care Quality Service Award process by <br />implementing and documenting their progress with this program. Eight organizations <br />submitted applications – but Carol Woods and Carolina House were the only assisted <br />living facilities that applied. <br />• Even though Crescent Green and the Stratford did not apply for the 2015 Quality <br />Service Award, the OCDOA will continue to reach out to them to support <br />implementation of the Music in My Mind program.
