Heath Aldridge <br /> Staff Present : Tina Moon , Preservation Planner and Carol Melton , Administrative Assistant <br /> Guest . Margaret Shulter, NC State MA Landscape Architectural program <br /> AGENDA ITEM #1 : CALL TO ORDER <br /> Golan called the meeting to order at 7 : 00 p . m . <br /> AGENDA ITEM #2 : CONSIDERATIONS OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br /> Moon reported that Randolph Community College recently started a Preservation Technology program , <br /> which may prove to be another information source for the HPC . Information from Tom Magnuson on the <br /> Trading Path , and the National Trust for Historic Preservation ' s Forum Newsletter was made available for <br /> review . Golan asked about the brief seminar promised on dealing with commissioners . Moon said there <br /> is a training session available through the Preservation Alliance , the Alliance will bring the program to the <br /> individual commission or commissions . Moon promised a notebook of HPC- membership related <br /> information in the summer. Notebook information should include the HPC Rules of Procedure , the <br /> Preservation Ordinance , and The Preservation Element document along with other relevant materials to <br /> start to our in - house training . Assembling the notebook should help us better understand what work has <br /> already been completed as we plan for new programs . <br /> AGENDA ITEM #3 : CHAIR COMMENTS <br /> Golan reminded he HP <br /> C PC to register for the June 15 & 16 Historic District Commission seminar in <br /> Asheville . Golan reported that the he had been invited to a meeting regarding the Orange County <br /> Historical Museum and possible upcoming changes . Golan said that he would like to lobby for an exhibit <br /> on County Historic Preservation activities , possibly including brochure to promote public outreach . Moon LI <br /> suggested a map featuring the LLD ' s and National Register sites . Price suggested a tour brochure . <br /> Moon presented the Resolution of Appreciation and token gifts to the HPC members thanking them for <br /> their dedication and service . <br /> i <br /> AGENDA ITEM #4 : APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> a .
