Future Joint Meeting with Agricultural Preservation Board and Planning Board <br /> Moon reported the tentative dates of April 4th or' May 2"d and asked the members to <br /> pencil those dates onto their calendars . Staff to advise HPC with any new information , as <br /> it becomes available . Moon noted that in addition to a heritage corridor program , <br /> informing more people about our LLD program would be beneficial . Many members of <br /> the farming community still have historic houses . The use-value taxation program only <br /> deals with the fields , so designating the house with local landmark status could be a good <br /> carrot . Golan added that would be a good newspaper article . <br /> AGENDA ITEM #6 : ITEMS FOR DECISION <br /> a . HPC Elections <br /> Moon explained the HPC ' s annual election of seats for Chair and Vice-Chair and that <br /> term of office is February to February . Golan opened the floor for nominations . <br /> NOMINATION : Golan nominated Cooper for Vice-Chair. Connor seconded the nomination . <br /> After a discussion , the members agreed to nominate Golan as Chair and Cooper as Vice- <br /> Chair as a single joint platform . <br /> MOTION : Connor made motion to the elect Golan for Chair and Cooper for Vice Chair . Heath <br /> seconded the motion . <br /> VOTE : Unanimous . <br /> b . Orange County Historical Architecture Manuscript Inventory Selection — Part V : <br /> Cedar Grove Township <br /> The HPC reviewed more photo files from Cedar Grove Township for inclusion in the <br /> publication . <br /> Moon gave members a map of St. Mary ' s Road and sample " Heritage/Scenic Road <br /> Corridor" evaluation form . HPC members were asked to drive along St . Mary ' s Road and <br /> complete the evaluation form for discussion at the March meeting . Discussion should <br /> include both whether or not St . Mary ' s Road appears to be a candidate for a corridor and <br /> the usefulness of the form . <br /> AGENDA ITEM # 7a. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS : <br /> a . Local Project Update : Rigsbee ' s Rock House <br /> Moon reported that a letter has been sent as requested by the HPC , to Archives & <br /> History , and copy NCDOT regarding traffic impact to Rigsbee ' s -Rock House .
