Page 3 0 3 <br /> 7 . Cedar Grove Post Office. <br /> Stancil reported that there is discussion of a new post office for <br /> Cedar Grove . Questions are being raised about what should be done <br /> regarding new buildings and how the project may affect the <br /> community character . As the existing site is within a National <br /> Register Historic District, the HPC may become involved in the <br /> process . <br /> 8 . Montrose . <br /> A public hearing on the National Register nomination for Montrose <br /> is scheduled for the next HPC meeting . Any comments from the <br /> HPC or public will be forwarded to the BOCC at that time . The <br /> BPC agreed to hold the next meeting on September 20th to meet the <br /> requirements for a public hearing, and the state ' s nomination <br /> schedule . <br /> The work of the HPC during the next couple months is important to <br /> chart the course of historic preservation in the county . <br /> b. September Meeting Schedule Date changed to September 201h . <br /> Moon introduced Joe Griffin, who saw the advertisement in the newspaper requesting old <br /> photographs that might be of interest to the HPC inventory publication, and had volunteered to <br /> share family photos . The photos were from the 1920 era of the Murphy School area. An <br /> information sharing session of history of the area and Archibald Murphy concluded with some <br /> photos being selected for possible inclusion in the publication. The HPC thanked Mr . Griffin for <br /> interest in and sharing photos with the group . <br /> AGENDA ITEM #7 : ITEMS FOR DECISION <br /> a.
