In that idea, it was noted that in the Chatwood/Duke <br /> Forest area there is the Faucette Mill and the Old Trading Path as well . The HPC noted that something <br /> should be done to preserve the area . Stancil reported that Jennifer Miller from SHPO indicated the HPC <br /> could do a Local Landmark District based on her review of the HPC by- laws . <br /> The HPC requested information on how to proceed with this idea noting that it must be done with the <br /> willingness of the different owners . A suggestion was made for the landowners to approach the HPC with <br /> an idea of what they would like done as being the first step . It was noted that Chatwood is already on the <br /> LLD list . <br /> The different pros and cons of design guidelines were discussed . It was suggested to find out what the <br /> Town of Hillsborough has in place . <br /> The HPC asked about the connection with the Land Legacy Program . Stancil explained there are six <br /> sections for criteria for acquisitions, which are being folded into the LLP, including the criteria from the <br /> HPC Historic Resource Evaluation Form . <br /> The HPC discussed the northern part of the County relating the Little River Basin, noting there might .be <br /> some good undeveloped natural areas for consideration . Stancil noted a probability of why few areas are <br /> shown in the Natural Areas Inventory being due to much agriculture being done in the northern two <br /> townships .
