All pricing is based on a manuscript of approximately 102 pages (disk and hard copy) and 175 halftones, producing 144 final typeset book pages . Editorial Production (Required for pre-press) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 1 ,225 :00 Includes producing a schedule for the production process, excluding printing , hiring and supervision of copy editor and proofreader; organizing the manuscript ; coding the manuscxipt for consistency of styles coordination with the authors monitoring deadlines; collating and checking corrections on all rounds of proof; checking bluelines of interior; and copy editing and Proofreading of jacket copy. Please note that editorial production will include creation of front matter and obtaining Library of Congress Number and barcoding . Any charges from the Library of Congress will be billed on the final pre-press services invoice . This edit will not include fact checking or editorial content . Although the copy editor will query grammar that appears incorrect or awkward, it is the responsibility of the client to insure that the manuscript is factually accurate and to ( 1 ) revise questioned grammatical form and awkward sentence structure, or (2) to mark items in question " stet " (remain as is) . Proofreading (Required for pre-press) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 395 . 00 Once pages are set into type, the manuscript will be proofed against the pages to insure that all editing is keyed correctly and to catch errors the copy editor may have missed. Any alterations made by the client will be billed at $ 1 . 00 per alteration or $ 60 . 00 per hour, whichever is less . Alterations made by the copy editor, designer or typesetter will be at no expense to the client . One set of photocopies will be supplied at no charge . Additional sets will be copied at $ . 07 per page .
