Brown , Chair of the BOCC <br /> DATE : October 1 , 1998 - <br /> RE : BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ' GOAL SETTING RETREAT <br /> As you may be aware we have been revising our goal <br /> Y Y , g g l setting process to <br /> make it more meaningful and efficient . We want to place emphasis on those issues <br /> and programs of highest priority to the citizens of Orange County . We are <br /> striving to position ourselves to meet the future challenges facing Orange <br /> County . <br /> We ask that you communicate to us the top one or two priorities of your <br /> Board . or Commission for the next fiscal year . We fully recognize that your top <br /> priorities may be continuing functions or needs which have not been addressed or <br /> new ones which have come to your attention . <br /> To assist us in anticipating and addressing these changes , we ask that <br /> you share with us any suggestions you have to help us accomplish this goal . <br /> Please submit your priorities and other suggestions to Beverly Blythe in the <br /> Clerk ' s Office by November 23 ,. 1998 . <br /> :3044 ,., <br /> You will be given an opportunity to present your top priorities at the <br /> County Commissioners ' retreat scheduled for Saturday , De ^ e, Please try to <br /> keep your comments to 5 minutes . Let Beverly know if you will be present to make <br /> comments so she can give you a scheduled time . <br /> You will also have an opportunity to comment on the draft / set of <br /> strategic priorities and goals developed from our Dazembe 1. 998 goal retreat <br /> at an upcoming BOCC work session in early 1999 . Your comments will be helpful to <br /> us in finalizing these priorities . <br /> We thank you for volunteering your time in service to the citizens of <br /> Orange County and we welcome your views in our policy making process .
