Coleman : <br /> On June 22 , 1998 , the Orange County Board of Commissioners adopted local historic landmark designation <br /> ordinances for four (4 ) National Register sites located in the unincorporated areas of Orange County . These <br /> sites are : <br /> • Moorefields, SR 1135, . 1 mile from junction with SR 1134 <br /> • Bingham School, NE corner of NC54 and SR 1007 <br /> • Chatwood, S side of SR 1328 (Fawcett Mill Road) on E side of Eno River <br /> • Rigsbee Rock House, NW corner of intersection of Lawrence Road and Highway 70/1 West, E <br /> of Hillsborough <br /> The Orange County Historic Preservation Commission is pleased to inform you of these designations . <br /> These sites represent the county ' s first group of locally- designated landmarks , It is our goal to <br /> systematically designate all eligible National Register properties, then begin evaluating our pool of National <br /> Register Study List sites .
