Crow, Director <br /> July 20 , 1998 <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO : Designated Staff Members of Certified Local Governments ( CLGs ) <br /> FROM : Melinda Coleman , CLG Coordinator <br /> RE : 1998 CLG Year- End Report <br /> Federal and state program guidelines require the State Historic Preservation Office (FPO ) to <br /> conduct a yearly review of activities caed out by local governments participating i <br /> ry n the CLG <br /> program . Our review is based on reports of the year' s activities submitted by the CLGs . We have <br /> designed the reporting forms to streamline the reporting process while ensuring that necessary and <br /> useful information is provided . The reports become an important source of information about the <br /> status of local preservation across the state . The information they contain is used to help the HPO <br /> provide guidance and technical assistance to CLGs and potential CLGs and to build support for <br /> local preservation programs . <br /> The 1998 Year- End Report will assess the period July 1 , 1997 , through June 30 , 1998 . The <br /> report consists of seven forms , some of which require attachments . The full report should take no <br /> more than three to four hours to complete . Submit two copies of the report by September 15 , <br /> 1998 . The forms include the following , <br /> I . CLG Preservation Commission <br /> A. Preservation Commission Profile <br /> B . Statement on Appointment Process for Qualified Preservation Commission <br /> Members <br /> C . Attendance at Informational or Educational Meetings by Preservation Commission <br /> Members and CLG Designated Staff Member <br /> II. Designation and Protection Activity <br /> III. Inventory Update Form for Properties Added to Existing Historic Resources Surveys <br /> IV. Inventory Update Form for Destroyed Architectural and Archaeological Resources <br /> V.
