He said it is great to hear <br />about the media events, and the students have done a wonderful job to spread the message <br />beyond this community. He said the students are local heroes. <br />Commissioner Price said this was an excellent presentation, is an important issue, and <br />hoped the campaign will spread to many others. <br />Commissioner Bedford asked if Green Teams are still doing waste recycling at <br />cafeterias. <br />The students collectively said yes. <br />Commissioner Bedford said this group is an example of adding things to education that <br />affect our lives. <br />Chair Rich said this presentation will be posted to the County website, so others can see <br />the work. <br /> <br />b. Care to Share Day Proclamation (added) <br /> <br />Chair Rich said the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) asked to add this <br />proclamation in October, but it got delayed. She apologized for this delay. <br />Denise Battle, OWASA Customer Service Manager, thanked the BOCC for <br />considering Care to Share Day. She said this program helps to raise more funds to help <br />community members who are having difficulties paying water and sewer bills. She said the <br />Interfaith Council (IFC) has partnered with OWASA on this cause for a number of years. <br />Commissioner McKee arrived at 7:30 p.m.
