26 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Dorosin asked about the question of process of filling vacancies on this <br />board. He said there is an at-large vacancy that has existed since 2017. He asked if the BOCC <br />can nominate someone from the list to start the one-year training process. <br />Chair Rich said the Board has asked this question a number of times, and she is unclear <br />why the Board cannot do as Commissioner Dorosin suggests. <br />Commissioner Price said she thinks the person is interviewed prior to the training. <br />Chair Rich asked if the Board could select someone to be interviewed. <br />Chair Rich asked if the Clerk’s Office could provide clarification on the need to fill a seat <br />that has been open for a long time, and what is the process of filling that seat if there are other <br />applicants on the list. <br /> <br />12.
