30 <br />Further Research Needs <br />In addition to these recommendations, the Committee suggests that the County <br />consider additional research in the following areas: <br />1. The areas of the .County that contain the highest radon 1=lndings are <br />,associated with geologic conditions that extend into Chatham County. <br />Additional research in conjunction with Chatham to explore these' radon levels <br />may be warranted. ' <br />2. For those areas of Orange County with higher water-borne radon, the <br />potential exists for the gas to collect in houses, basements and other poorly <br />ventilated areas.
