Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Chair Rich noted the following items at the Commissioners' places: <br /> 28 • 6-a - PowerPoint presentation <br /> 29 • Petition regarding Swim for Charlie <br /> 30 • Closed session item added <br /> 31 "To discuss matters related to the location or expansion of industries or other <br /> 32 businesses in the area served by the public body, including agreement on a tentative list <br /> 33 of economic development incentives that maybe offered by the public body's <br /> 34 negotiations" NCGS 143-318.11(a)(4) <br /> 35 <br /> 36 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Greene for <br /> 37 the Board to add the Closed Session item. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 40 <br /> 41 PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 42 Chair Rich acknowledged the public charge. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Arts Moment <br /> 45 Tinka Jordy, Arts Commission member, introduced the artist: <br /> 46 Arshia Simkin is a graduate of North Carolina State University's MFA in Creative Writing <br /> 47 program. She writes stories about her Pakistani heritage and about contemporary American <br /> 48 society. Prior to attending NC State's MFA program, she was a staff attorney at a legal aid firm <br /> 49 in upstate New York, where she represented survivors of domestic violence. Currently, she is <br />
