Attached is a copy of our <br />Certificate of Insurance that shows our coverages which include an Umbrella coverage. The County <br />maintains an actuarially sound self-insurance program that covers medical malpractice and professional <br />liability. <br /> <br />The County has established uniform standards for claims against employees in accordance with <br />N.C.G.S. §153A-97 and §160A-167. Our providers are covered by these standards during their <br />employment with the County. To determine appropriate funding, the County performs an actuarial <br />analysis each fiscal year (July 1).
