3 <br /> A RESOLUTION REQUESTING APPOINTMENT(S) TO THE <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the seat reserved for the Joint Planning Transition Area was vacant from 2013 until <br /> 2017 when Wil Heflin was appointed; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the seat reserved for the town's extraterritorial planning area has also been vacant <br /> since 2013; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Clerk has advertised for the vacancies with no success in recruiting for <br /> both residents that meet the requirements; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Carrboro Town Code allows for the Board of Commissioners to appoint other <br /> residents of the county(including residents of the Town of Carrboro). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN <br /> OF CARRBORO THAT: <br /> SECTION 1: The Orange County Board of Commissioners is hereby requested to appoint the <br /> following applicants to the seats identified below: <br /> Seat Designation Appointee Term Expiration <br /> Joint Planning Transition Seat Will Heflin 02/2022 <br /> ETJ Seat I John Baker 2/2021 <br /> SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective upon adoption. <br />
