When the Director <br />is unavailable or absent, the final processing of documents is delayed until her signature is <br />received. To be able to sign and take official responsibility for these documents, the Revenue <br />Technician II must hold the class title or equivalent class title of "Deputy Tax Collector." <br />Without holding the position of deputy, the Revenue Technician II also is not eligible to apply for <br />the Deputy Tax Collector certification from the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association.
